Know all men by these Presents, that I Thomas J Harrington of Ritchfield in the County of Ostego and Commonwealth of New York, Seaman on board of the Ship Northern Light of New Bedford during her last whaling voyage, for a good and valuable consideration paid to me by Taber Read &c of New Bedford, the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, do hereby bargain, sell, assign, and convey unto the said Taber Read &c theire Executors, Administraters and assigns, all my lay, share, right, title and interest, in to and of the oil, bone, catchings and earnings of, in, and on board said ship, during said voyage and the process there of

And I hereby irrevocably make and constitute, and in my stead and place put the said
Taber Read &c my true sufficient and lawful Attoney, with power of Substitution, for me and in my name and stead, but to their own use and benefit to ask, demand receive and recover sums of and from all and every person or persons whomever, and to commence and prosecute any actions and process in law and do all things necessary for obtaining and recovering the sums
